| Sy Joynet is a musician who lives in Hamburg. He grew up in a multi-national
family and came in contact with music when he was a child. He composes
arranges , plays drums, piano and also more other instruments. His
style has a big range from Jazz, Fusion, Rock and M-base as you can
listen to it on this CD. Sy played all instruments by himself. He
arranged pieces from Steve Coleman, Pat Metheny, Chick Corea and John
McLaughlin new and experiments partly economically with the songs.
The CD is opened by a composition for drums and it soon shows the
great virtuosity of this musician. He has great techniques on all
used instruments, but sounds never too technical in his way of playing.
Partly with few musical instruments the songs come out of the loudspeaker
with power and abundance. A very discriminating CD which is not often
produced like that and it also got a label. Congratulations to this
great entrance! |
